    In recent years, there is a new kind of novel rather popular among the younger population. It is called the "Light Novel", originated from Japan in the late 20th century. Most of its readers are teenagers. The reason for its popularity are many, the first being its informal writing style, usually driven by dialogue. It eliminates a lot of communication barriers. Then, of course, it is the use of illustrations in the novels. Using illustrations makes the novel more likely to engage its readers. Finally, the light novel fantasy stories appeal to the taste of their young readers.In my opinion, reading light novel can help the young people to develop a reading habit. On the other hand, these light novels may cause harm to the personality development of their young readers.
