    many people translate "开学了吧" into "has school begun yet?".if the translation is right,what does "school started at 7 a.m." mean?Does it mean 学校早上七点开始上课 or 早上七点开学了？I think the right translation of "开学了吧？" should be"has the new term or semester begun yet?" or "has school study begun yet?" .What is your viewpoing,my dear friends?

    In English some similar sentences have the same meaning and the same sentece has different meanings in different occasions. So you shouldn't be so stubborn. If you want it accurate, you may say "Has the new school term/ semester begun?"
